These 3 major airlines are adding new flights to Mexico, expanding their schedules from the fall season.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Air Canada
Air Canada will offer a new seasonal winter route from Montreal (YUL) to Los Cabos, Baja California (SJD).
This route will begin on December 1, and flights will leave once a week, on a Friday.
Air Canada is also offering a new year-round service from Toronto (YYZ) to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon (MTY).
This route will begin on October 29 and outbound flights will leave four times a week, flying on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Inbound flights will return to Toronto on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
This route is significant, as it will make Air Canada the only Canadian airline to connect Canada to the popular city of Monterrey.
Air Canada is increasing the capacity of their 2023 Winter Sun flight schedule by 11% when compared to their 2022 schedule.
American Airlines
As part of their new winter sun schedule, American Airlines are introducing new weekly flights to Cancun (CUN).
These new non-stop flights will depart from Nashville (BNA) and Cincinnati (CVG). These routes will begin on December 9 and run until March, as this is only a seasonal service. The flights will depart every Saturday.
As well as these new routes, American Airlines is also adding a second daily route from Cancun to Austin, Texas (AUS). This route will begin on November 5.
American Airlines currently offers more than 50 daily departures from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to a wide variety of Mexican cities, and they will add an additional seven routes this fall too.
American Airlines is seeking to establish itself as the foremost airline that provides nonstop flights between the United States and Mexico.
During winter 2023, American Airlines will offer a 40% increase in seat availability to destinations in Mexico and Latin America.
Delta Air Lines
Delta Air Lines are expanding their service from the U.S. to Mexico from January 8 and will operate these winter sun routes until April 7 of next year.
New daily departures to Cancun will leave from Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis. New daily flights will also leave from Atlanta and Minneapolis to Puerto Vallarta. In the same flight batch, Delta Air Lines will schedule daily flights from Minneapolis to Los Cabos.
In addition to these January routes, from December 201, Delta will launch a non-stop route from Boston to Mexico City (CDMX).
